5am – A/B/C New Anti-Trump Ad Is All About His Bad F*cking Language. Donald Trump has bragged in the past that he has “the best words.” A lot of them just happen to be profanities. A new ad from the anti-Trump group American Future Fund Political Action is pretty much a highlights reel of Trump’s most profane moments on the campaign trail. And while Trump’s uses of “fuck” and “shit” and “pussy” are all in there, so is “What the hell are we doing?”, so take that for what you will. A spokesperson for the group told Politico, “Donald Trump’s repeated public reliance on profanities and vulgarities to express himself is one more piece in an ever-mounting pile of evidence that he does not have the temperament or moral integrity to lead the world’s greatest nation.”

5am – D         Sports:

  • Redskins release Robert Griffin III. (ESPN) — ASHBURN, Va. — The Washington Redskins have released Robert Griffin III, the 2012 NFL offensive rookie of the year and onetime face of the franchise, the quarterback confirmed via an Instagram post and team later announced. The move, first reported by ESPN’s Dianna Russini, was long expected, but still represents quite a change from four years ago when Griffin was one of the most dynamic players in the NFL and the hope of a starved fan base. Griffin had lost the starting job in August and served as Washington’s No. 3 quarterback all season. He was active for one game.
  • Erin Andrews Awarded $55 Mil for Secret Hotel Recording. Sportscaster Erin Andrews was awarded $55 million of the $75 million she asked for in a civil trial against her stalker Michael David Barrett, West End Hotel Partners, and other defendants, whom she accused of negligence and invasion of privacy. In 2008, Erin’s stalker Michael David Barrett filmed her through peepholes on several occasions, including at the Marriott Nashville and the Radisson Airport Hotel in Milwaukee. He then posted the nude videos of Erin online, where they have been seen by approximately 16 million people. Andrews accused the hotels of making her room numbers known to Barrett, and accommodating his request for rooms next to hers.
  • Maria Sharapova on her failed drug test: “I made a huge mistake.” Soon after Peyton Manning announced his retirement from football on Monday, sports fans were wondering if another superstar would also be retiring: Tennis player Maria Sharapova planned a press conference to make a “major announcement.” But instead, Sharapova announced that she failed a drug test for taking mildronate — also called meldonium — and was waiting to find out what her punishment will be. The drug is used in Latvia and Russia but not approved for use in the U.S. by the FDA. During the press conference, she said she’s been taking the drug for 10 years because she was getting sick often, “and I had a magnesium deficiency. I also had an irregular EKG result, and I have a family history of diabetes.”
  • Emotional Peyton Manning says goodbye, as he retires from the NFL. ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — He had trouble even getting the words out. Peyton Manning strode up to the podium, with a folder containing his retirement speech. If he wanted this to be like any other corporate speech he has given — and he’s given a ton — there was no chance. As prepared as Manning is for everything, there’s no way to script how you’ll feel walking away from a game you’ve given your life to. Manning needed a few seconds before he even started his speech to compose himself. With family, friends and former teammates looking on in the Denver Broncos meeting room, Manning had a news conference to officially announce his retirement after 18 NFL seasons with the Broncos and Indianapolis Colts. His voice was shaking most of the time as he thanked his hometown of New Orleans, the University of Tennessee, the Colts and Broncos, his old teammates and coaches, and his family. He thanked everyone, really.

5am – E         Volunteer firefighters suspended for taking sick girl to hospital in fire engine reinstated. 2 suspended volunteer firefighters in Stafford County will return to operational status starting at 4 pm Monday. Suspended Va. volunteer firefighters reinstated, but investigation continues. (WTOP) – STAFFORD, Va. — Two volunteer firefighters who were suspended for rushing a sick toddler to the hospital in their fire engine instead of waiting for an ambulance will be reinstated. Stafford County Fire Chief Mark Lockhart announced the reinstatement of Captain James Kelley and Sergeant Virgil Bloom, with the Falmouth Volunteer Fire Department, Monday afternoon. “It is my desire to conclude this matter with the leadership at Falmouth and get these members back to doing the good work of Stafford County fire and rescue,” Lockhart said.

6am – A/B/C TRUMP Doubles Down on H1B-visa policy on Michael Savage’s show yesterday. Does his evolving stance on immigration concern you?

6am – D         Pluto: Calls for rock to become a planet again mount after scientists suggest clouds have been spotted on its surface. (The Independent) — The clouds wouldn’t allow it to satisfy the rule that got Pluto kicked out of the list of planets — but might show that list should be reformed, scientists say. Pluto could be about to become a planet again, after scientists spotted what appears to be clouds on its surface. As part of the New Horizons mission — which has already found far more complexity on Pluto than had been expected — scientists have spotted cloud-like parts of the images released from the mission. That could mean that the planet has an even richer atmosphere than had been thought, according to the New Scientist, which first reported the images. Scientists aren’t yet sure that the images show clouds, and the discovery hasn’t been reported publicly. But emails seen by the magazine seem to indicate that the now dwarf planet might have clouds made up of the same things in its general atmosphere, which is mostly made up of nitrogen. The discovery could lead to further calls for Pluto to be reinstated as a planet — a question that has already been asked more and more since New Horizons sent back detailed images of the dwarf planet’s rich surface.

6am – E         Robbers tracked casino patron to his home by putting GPS on his car, police say. On a Tuesday night four months ago, two armed men, wearing ski masks, showed up at a home in Montgomery County, tied up two of the residents and demanded: “Where is the money?” What may have seemed random at the time, according to court records, was nothing of the sort. The men had earlier placed a GPS tracker on the car belonging to one of the home’s residents — a man who was a frequent visitor to a casino 50 miles away in Baltimore. Police officials said Monday they had arrested one suspect — Kevin Darnell Carroll, 44, of Baltimore — and are searching for his accomplice. Officials said the GPS device was attached to the car at the casino and was used to find the victim’s address. Arrest records, filed in court last week, spell out elements of the heist and how it came to light. Among other details, a wife who lived at the Montgomery home — in the Darnestown-Germantown area — had hired a private investigator to keep tabs on her husband. The private investigator tailed the husband to the Horseshoe Casino, and after the private investigator had put a GPS on the husband’s car and was still nearby, he saw another man crawling under the car with a flashlight. Eventually two GPS devices were on the car — the robbers’ and the investigator’s, according to the police. During the later home invasion robbery, two occupants of the home — a 21-year-old male and 14-year-old female — were zip-tied, and the girl had her mouth taped shut. No serious injuries were reported by police. Carroll and his accomplice are alleged to have stolen about $6,000 and an iPhone.

Republican senators Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin have asked Bryan Pagliano to appear before them to discuss the server and to provide documents and communications about Clinton’s personal email account. In a network town-hall event, Baier pressed Clinton at length about her use of a private email server while she was the US secretary of state. “The FBI investigation is still hanging over your campaign, and there are some Democrats who are worried about the other shoe dropping,” Baier said. The former secretary of state vigorously refuted claims that her past statements about sharing classified information on her private server were inaccurate. “There’s a lot of misinformation going on around here, so let me start with the facts,” Clinton said.
