BELTSVILLE, MD — (WMAL) One person was killed and another was wounded Thursday afternoon after a shooting on the grounds of High Point High School in Beltsville.

Prince George’s County police confirmed they are looking for a suspect, but add they do not have an “active shooter” situation.

The incident took place shortly after 4:30pm. The victim who was wounded is said to be in good condition, with non lifer-threatening injuries.

The shooting appeared to be a case of domestic violence.

A large contingent of police surrounded the entrance to the school after the shooting, and yellow police tape blocked off a large area outside the school.
