WASHINGTON — (WMAL) The daughter of former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley, Grace O’Malley married this Father’s Day weekend in a catholic ceremony at Baltimore’s Saint Ignatius Church.

O’Mallesealed her vows with husband J.D. Merril in front of a crowd of 150 guests on Saturday, June 18.

Given the groom’s own personal religious background, the ceremony included elements of a Quaker wedding, such as a few moments of silent prayer for the couple.

The reception took place at the Baltimore Museum of Art.

Martin O’Malley said, “She has made us [O’Malley and his wife Katie] so very happy and proud as parents. And we are delighted to have such a fine young man become a part of our family.”
