WASHINGTON — (WMAL) D.C. police officials arrested and charged four individuals on Tuesday with running an illegal marijuana operation and distribution of marijuana. The drug operation was being run on Wisconsin Avenue in Glover Park, near the U.S. Naval Observatory.

In November of 2014, D.C. had legalized marijuana with some restrictive rules, allowing people to possess up to two ounces of marijuana, grow a small number of plants and give less than an ounce of marijuana to another individual. The Metropolitan Police Department released a statement that said, “police seized 3.25 pounds of marijuana with a street value estimated at $58,880.”

The police identified the individuals charged were identified as Conner MacLeod Donahue, 24, Woodbridge, Va; Marvin Alphonzo Harvison, 42, of Southeast; Sidi Mohamed Chendid, 29, of Alexandria, Va.; and Gary Little, 29, of Northeast D.C.

More information is expected to be made public later today as the suspects in question are scheduled to be in the D.C. Superior Court for their first appearance.

Police said members of the Narcotics and Special Investigation Division executed a search warrant Tuesday afternoon at a location in the 2300 block of Wisconsin Avenue NW, a mostly commercial strip alongside the Observatory in the Glover Park neighborhood.

Police identified the suspects as: Conner MacLeod Donahue, 24, of Woodbridge, Va; Marvin Alphonzo Harvison, 42, of Southeast; Sidi Mohamed Chendid, 29, of Alexandria, Va.; and Gary Little, 29, of Northeast. All were charged with distribution of marijuana.
