ASHBURN, VA — (WMAL) For the second year in a row, the Washington Redskins will be playing football on Thanksgiving, but for the first time ever, they’ll be doing it at home for the holiday.

The Washington Post is reporting that the Skins will host the New York Giants for an NFC East matchup in the nighttime slot on Thursday, November 23rd. It’ll be the first time the Redskins have played on Thanksgiving in back-to-back years since 1973-74, when they played at Detroit and Dallas, respectively.

The Redskins fell to the Cowboys last year on Thanksgiving Day, 31 – 26, extending their all-time Turkey day record to 2 and 7.

The rest of the 2017 NFL schedule is set to be released Thursday night, though we’ve known since the end of last season which teams the Redskins will play, and where they’ll be playing the games.

Here are the Redskins home and away opponents:

Home: Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Arizona Cardinals, San Fransico 49ers, Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, Denver Broncos

Away: Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers
