LISTEN: JOSEPH CONNOR’s Fight Against the Puerto Rican Day Parade For Honoring a Convicted Terrorist Who Killed His Father

Listen as Larry spoke with Joseph Connor regarding New York City’s Puerto Rican Day Parade honoring Oscar Lopez Rivera, a convicted terrorist accused of killing his father during the Fraunces Tavern bombing.

During the interview, Connor explained the details behind the Puerto Rican Day Parade honoring Oscar Lopez:

O’Connor: So now what’s the story in New York?

Connor: Now in New York they’re having the Puerto Rican Day parade on June 11th and the organizers of the parade, which include the Mayor and Melissa Mark-Viverito – the number two person in New York- are going to be honoring him with a ‘Hero of Freedom’ award, whatever the hell that means, to a terrorist and having him being the leader of the parade.

O’Connor: The leader of the Puerto Rican Day parade in New York City, a guy who blew up one of the most historic buildings in New York City, Fraunces Tavern which pre-dates the American Revolution and he was targeting cops wasn’t he? New York City police officers?

Connor: Well, my father wasn’t a cop. My father was a banker. In their note, they said they were targeting reactionary corporate executives, the Marxist lingo of the day. But yes they were … they attacked Fraunces Tavern, the birth place of freedom in this country, where George Washington bid farewell to his officers, where the play Hamilton was set, and by the way, Lin Miranda has been an advocate for the terrorist too. So, we have a bunch of twisted people in this country. And they give a ‘Hero of Freedom’ … Melissa Mark-Viverito announced this at the observatory at the World Trade Center. The site of the most horrific terrorist attack in the history of mankind, she announces that a terrorist is going to be the celebrity at the parade and get the ‘Hero of Freedom’ award. This is a terrorist, I’m sorry for going on, this is a terrorist who was a Marxist who had no idea of freedom at all. His idea was to subjugate the Puerto Rican people into a Cuban like state. So to even use the word Oscar Lopez and freedom in the same sentence is a travesty and we’ve truly lost our minds or I thought we had truly lost our minds, but things are changing. And the sponsors of the parade are bailing.
