SPRINGFIELD, VA — (WMAL) A Springfield man is charged with murder following a deadly fight early Friday morning outside a pool hall near the Springfield Plaza Shopping Center.

Just after 2 a.m. someone called Fairfax County Police and said a man was lying on the ground near Revolution Darts and Billiards on Commerce Street.

When police arrived, they found 29-year-old Kieron Hart of Springfield in a pool of blood with severe injuries to his upper body. He was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead shortly after he got there.

30-year-old Jay Fasick, also of Springfield, has been charged with murdering Hart.

Police found him in the ceiling of a nearby Pet Valu after someone called to say a man had broken into the store.

Fasick was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police weren’t sure if he was hurt during the fight or the burglary.
