WASHINGTON (AP) – A woman with a record of trying to illegally enter the White House grounds has pleaded guilty to a similar offense.
Alicia Keppler of Spartanburg, South Carolina, pleaded guilty Tuesday to entering or remaining in a restricted building or grounds. The incident occurred July 4.
A court document says in the latest incident she jumped over a bike rack security fence. The document says the 32-year-old previously jumped over a bicycle rack security fence in March 2016 and then twice violated a court order by returning, once to try to get into the White House Easter Egg Roll.
Sentencing is set for Sept. 19. She faces a maximum of a year in prison and a fine.
Keppler’s attorney didn’t immediately respond to a telephone call requesting comment Wednesday.
