WASHINGTON — (WMAL) Tuesday, Fairfax County Police Department released the sketch of the suspect in sexual assault and abduction of 5-year-old girl.

The press release details are below:

Mount Vernon Police District – Detectives have released the composite sketch and description of the man they believe is responsible for the abduction and sexual assault of a 5-year-old girl on Sunday. They will be canvassing the area where it happened, the 6700 block of Tower Drive, at 5 p.m. today as part of their search for the suspect.

Detectives Investigating Stranger Abduction/Sexual Assault of Young Girl

Mount Vernon Police District – An investigation is underway after a 5-year-old girl was abducted and sexually assaulted by a stranger in the 6700 block of Tower Drive in the Fairfax County section of Alexandria. It happened around 5 yesterday evening. Initially a family member noticed the child was missing, and she resurfaced a short time later reporting what had occurred.

Detectives are working with witnesses to gather as much information as possible about the suspect, who has only been described as a Hispanic male. Providing that witnesses are able to provide sufficient information to create a composite sketch of value, it will be shared with the public.
