WASHINGTON — (WMAL) You’ve heard her story. Now we have a photo to go along with Leeann Tweeden’s account of her 2006 unwanted encounter with then-comedian, now Sen. Al Franken.

The KABC radio news anchor said Thursday that she was forcibly kissed by Franken during a skit rehearsal prior to the start of their USO show in the Middle East in December of 2006. After that incident, Tweeden says she had to perform the skit with Franken repeatedly over the length of the tour, being careful each time to turn her cheek each time Franken moved in for his kiss.

A WMAL listener who, at the time, was a captain in the Air Force Reserve, was actually in attendance at one of the shows, and happened to catch the on-stage moment during one of the USO performances with this photo:

Tweeden told WMAL’s Larry O’Connor Thursday, “I could have won an Academy Award, because I was the best damn actress I have ever been in my entire life because I had to go out and be like, ‘Al Franken, ladies and gentlemen!’, and pretend like he was my best friend.”
