Bush, described as “a relentless proponent of family literacy,” died at the age of 92, a spokesman for the family confirmed.

Parent says daughter attempted suicide at same Prince George’s Co. school where students cut wrists (Fox 5 DC)

Seven students at a Prince George’s County elementary school were treated by a school nurse on March 29 after officials said they cut their wrists using blades from pencil sharpeners. But it was nearly three weeks later on Tuesday that parents at William Paca Elementary School were notified about the incident.

Joe Manchin’s new campaign ad: ‘Washington sucks’ (Washington Examiner)

Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., declared “Washington sucks” in a new campaign ad in which he promises not to play politics, and instead focus on what’s in the best interest for West Virginia if he wins re-election.

“People here have been screwed by both political parties,” Manchin lamented. “Yes, Washington sucks, but West Virginians don’t give up.”

The line is not new for Manchin. He said “Washington sucks” in January after being attacked by Vice President Mike Pence for voting against the GOP tax cut bill. [Read More]
