Capitals Announce 2018-2019 Preseason Schedule

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals have released their 2018-19 preseason schedule Monday, according to senior vice president and general manager Brian MacLellan.

The preseason schedule will feature seven games against four opponents and will include three games at Capital One Arena. The Caps will open their preseason by playing the Boston Bruins on Sept. 16 at 1 p.m. in TD Garden.

Then the team will return to Washington to host the Bruins on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. at Capital One Arena.

The 2018 Stanley Cup champions will  face the Montreal Canadiens in Quebec City on Sept. 20 at 7 p.m., followed by a visit to the Carolina Hurricanes on Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in PNC Arena.

After their game against the Carolina Hurricanes, the Caps will travel to St. Louis to face the Blues on Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Enterprise Center.

The preseason will close with two home games against the Hurricanes and Blues at 7 p.m., Sept. 28 and 3 p.m., Sept. 30 respectively.

The Caps were 2-5-0 in their 2017-18 preseason and their all-time preseason record is 163-124-33-14.
