WASHINGTON– If you’ve spent any time on social media lately, chances are you’ve seen them: Viral videos of police, fire, and EMS crews lip syncing to a song as part of what’s been dubbed the “Lip Sync Challenge”.

The challenge has been making its way across the country as various law enforcement agencies try to one-up each other in an entertaining way. Videos are made while officers are off-duty.

Now, it’s reached the Washington, D.C. metro area with this submission by the Fairfax County, Va Police Departmet to the song “Meant to Be” by Bebe Rexha feat. Florida Georgia Line.

The department says it was “summoned by the George Mason University Police Department” to take part in the challenge. Fairfax County Police have in turn challenged Arlington County Police and Alexandria City Police to make their own videos.
