Trump announces an agreement with European Union on some tariffs

>> President Trump, meeting with the European Commission President, says the US would be “extremely pleased” if all tariffs and barriers were eliminated with the EU

>> Pres. Trump says EU will “start, almost immediately, to buy a lot of soy beans—they’re a tremendous market—buy a lot of soy beans from our farmers in the Midwest.”

> Pres. Trump, in joint statement with European Commission Pres. Jean-Claude Juncker: “We agree today, first of all, to work together toward zero tariffs, zero non-tariff barriers, and zero subsidies on non-auto industrial goods.”
