She pleaded guilty in June.

6am – B Anti-Trump Bands:

  • Social Distortion frontman Mike Ness accused of attacking Trump supporter (CBS Sacramento) – A Trump supporter claims he was attacked by the lead singer of a punk rock band when he jeered the frontman’s political statements.  Tim Hildebrand of Galt says the attack happened at a Social Distortion concert at the Ace of Spades in Midtown. Hildebrand says he grew up listening to the band’s music and was excited to attend one of their shows, but never thought he’d leave bloody and bruised at the hands of a famous musician.
  • Pearl Jam poster depicts dead Donald Trump and burning White House. Some fans of band aren’t happy (The Blaze) – A concert poster for Pearl Jam, the iconic and sometimes politically charged Seattle rock band, depicts a dead President Donald Trump in front of a burning White House — and some of their fans aren’t happy about it.  Trump’s famous hair still sits atop his skull in the image as he reaches for a briefcase stamped with hammer and sickle and a bald eagle picks at his skeletal remains.

6am – C Woman hospitalized after altercation on Metrobus (FOX 5 DC) – A woman had to be taken to the hospital after a verbal altercation on a Metrobus turned violent.  Emergency crews were called to a bus stop near 2nd and H streets in Northeast D.C. during the Tuesday evening rush hour as a fight spilled out onto the street.  Metro Transit Police said it all started at around 6 p.m. when two women got into an argument on the X2 Metrobus. It is unclear what sparked it.

6am – D Trump pulls security clearance of ex-CIA Director John Brennan (Politico) – President Donald Trump on Wednesday revoked the security clearance of former CIA Director John Brennan, who has become a harsh critic of the president, and appeared to be targeting others who have disagreed with the administration.  “Mr. Brennan’s lying and recent conduct characterized by increasingly frenzied commentary is wholly inconsistent with access to the nation’s most closely held secrets and facilities, the very aim of our adversaries which is to sow division and chaos,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, reading a statement from Trump while briefing reporters on Wednesday.   “Mr. Brennan has recently leveraged his status as a former high-ranking official with access to highly sensitive information to make a series of unfounded and outrageous allegations — wild outbursts on the internet and television — about this Administration,“ the president‘s statement continued.

6am – F Child drownings linked to phone-distracted parents who fail to look up (USA Today) – The world’s largest lifeguard organization claims there’s a direct link between child drownings and the smartphones parents hold in their hands.  The German Lifeguard Association, which fields 40,000 volunteer lifeguards across Germany’s lakefronts and beaches, issued a warning to adults on phone distraction after more than 300 drownings occurred in the nation this year, The Guardian reported Wednesday.

8am – A Colbert asks Sanders if it’s wise to campaign as ‘socialist’ (Washington Free-Beacon) – CBS late-night host Stephen Colbert asked Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) Tuesday if campaigning under a “socialist” banner was wise given progressive candidates’ recent primary losses.  In many contentious primary elections around the country, candidates supported by Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a New York congressional candidate and fellow democratic socialist, lost to candidates supported by Democratic leadership. In an exchange flagged by the Washington Examiner, Colbert asked Sanders why he identifies as a socialist given its negative associations.  “Why do you need to call yourself socialist?” Colbert said. “Because that’s freighted with so much negativity in the United States.”
