WASHINGTON (WMAL) – Prince William County Police are hoping a new sketch will help them track down a sexual assault suspect.

The electronic sketch shows the man police believe sexually assaulted a woman on a wooded path in the area of Aurora Drive and Bowes Lane in Woodbridge Monday.

Officer Nathan Probus said the 33-year-old victim called the police just before midnight Monday to report she was walking along the path when she noticed a man was following her. When she entered the wooded area, the man pulled out a knife and forced her to perform a sexual act on him according to Probus. After that, the man ran off.

The suspect said the person who assaulted her was a white man with a tan between 19 and 20-years-old. He stood approximately 5’05”-to 5’07” and weighed between 130 and 140 pounds.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the man in the sketch or surveillance video pictures to contact them at 703-792-6500.
