The cyclist who flipped off Trump’s motorcade is running for public office (The Washington Post)

Juli Briskman, the cyclist who flashed her middle finger at President Trump’s motorcade — and lost her job at a government contracting firm as a result — is parlaying an act of resistance into a run for local office in Northern Virginia.

The 51-year-old marketing executive said this week she…[Read More]

The NRA Is Getting A VERY Unlikely Ally In Its Fight Against The New York Attorney General (The Daily Wire)

The National Rifle Association is currently fighting a legal battle to resist efforts by the New York Attorney General to punish any corporation or financial institution that does business with the NRA — and it’s getting help from a very unlikely place. The ACLU.

The state of New York is looking to repeat the Obama Administration’s disastrous and likely unconstitutional efforts in Operation Choke Point, a Department of Justice program that levied similar sanctions on institutions that did business with groups the Obama Administration considered “unsavory,” like gun manufacturers, fireworks vendors, home-based charities, payday lenders, pornography producers, and, according to Forbes, any “legal businesses that the Obama administration deem[ed] to be politically incorrect.” [Read More]

Former Secretary of State John Kerry disclosed that he has been conducting rogue diplomacy with top Iranian officials to salvage the landmark nuclear deal and push the Islamic Republic to negotiate its contested missile program, according to recent remarks.

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough hit for saying Trump hurts ‘dream of America’ more than 9/11 terrorists (Fox News)

MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” namesake Joe Scarborough was slammed on Tuesday for tweeting that “Trump is damaging the dream of America more than any terrorist attack ever could” in promoting a column he wrote one day before the 17th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, which killed nearly 3,000 people.

Scarborough – who was one of then-candidate Trump’s strongest supporters in the media before changing his mind and turning on him – penned a column in the Washington Post headlined, “Trump is harming the dream of America more than any foreign adversary ever could.” The MSNBC host notes that America “dominated the world stage” prior to the tragic events of Sept. 11 and points out gaffes by George W. Bush and Barack Obama before attacking Trump. [Read More]

America moves closer to being a cashless society (Market Watch)

Neither does Bluestone Lane, a coffee chain with locations in New York, Philly and D.C. Patrons there have to pay with plastic or an app called LevelUp. Want to grab a Sweetgreen salad for lunch with cash? No can-do at many locations.

Cashless commerce is popping up around the country, particularly in restaurants catering to a younger crowd, which is likely to leave home without any greenbacks, or even a wallet, and instead choose to live life with a smartphone and a few credit or debit cards attached. [Read More]
