U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia and GOP challenger Corey Stewart are set for their third and final planned public debate.
The pair will square off Tuesday in Richmond at an event sponsored by AARP Virginia.

Montgomery County Official Seeks Outside Dining Smoking Ban (NBC Washington)
A Montgomery County official wants to ban smoking in outside dining areas.
Councilman Sidney Katz is set to introduce the measure on Tuesday. It would prohibit smoking in outdoor serving areas such as patios, decks or porches.
If approved, Montgomery County would be the first county in Maryland to enact such a law. [Read More]
D.C. City Council Will Vote to Ban Some Airbnb Rentals Today (Reason)
A longtime resident of the Hillcrest neighborhood in Washington, D.C., Rashida Mims wonders why hotel lobbyists are taking such an interest in her short-term rental income.
After all, there are no hotels in Hillcrest, a roughly mile-wide triangle filled with tangles of residential streets along the far southeast edge of the nation’s capital. Mims makes a few thousand dollars off her Airbnb rentals each year, hardly enough to threaten the bottom lines of the hotels chains that are thriving in Washington. Amazon raising minimum wage for US workers to $15 per hour (FOX 5 DC)
Amazon, which has faced political and economic pressure to raise pay for thousands of employees, is boosting its minimum wage for all U.S. workers to $15 per hour starting next month.
The wage hike will benefit more than 350,000 workers, which includes full-time, part-time, temporary and seasonal positions. Employees at Whole Foods, which Amazon now owns, will get the same pay hike. Amazon’s hourly operations and customer service employees, some who already make $15 per hour, will also see a wage increase, the Seattle company said. [Read More]
