President Trump praises Kanye West’s words at White House: ‘That was quite something’ (FOX News)

Kanye West did lunch with President Trump Thursday, but pre-empted the meal with a wildly entertaining and decidedly bizarre press conference in which he covered Superman, the 13th and Second amendments, North Korea and his budding MAGA bromance with the commander in chief.

West began the much-anticipated sit-down by praising Trump’s efforts in North Korea saying, “On day one you solved one of [Obama’s] biggest troubles. We solved one of the biggest problems.”

The conversation turned to West discussing the lack of support he received from his Hollywood cohorts with regards to his support of the president.

“They tried to scare me to not wear this hat,” West said, referring to his “Make America Great Again” hat he wore to the meeting and on a recent appearance on “Saturday Night Live.” [Read More]

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel: Eric Holder’s call to ‘kick’ Republicans must not become the left’s new normal (FOX News)

Just over a year ago, House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., returned to Congress after being shot by a crazed gunman during a congressional Republican baseball practice. His ordeal marked a low in our nation’s political discourse – one that blew past hostile rhetoric into outright violence.

On Sunday former Attorney General Eric Holder doubled down on what has become the left’s new normal. Speaking at a campaign event in Georgia, he said of Republicans: “When they go low, we kick ‘em. That’s what this new Democratic Party is about.” [Read More]

Eric Holder doubles down on ‘when they go low, we kick them’ remark: ‘Stop the fake outrage’ (The Hill)

Former Attorney General Eric Holder on Thursday defended his comments which surfaced earlier this week in which he said when Republicans “go low,” Democrats should “kick them,” calling on critics to “stop the fake outrage.”

“OK, stop the fake outrage,” Holder, who served in the Obama administration, tweeted. “I’m obviously not advocating violence. (In fact, when I was AG violent crime in the US was historically low.)”

“I’m saying Republicans are undermining our democracy and Democrats need to be tough, proud and stand up for the values we believe in – the end,” he added. [Read More]

‘Fear Is Not a Proper Motivator’: Michelle Obama Rejects Eric Holder’s ‘We Kick Them’ Stance (NBC)

Former first lady Michelle Obama said Thursday she stands by her “when they go low, we go high” motto despite calls this week by some high-profile Democrats to do the opposite.

“Fear is not a proper motivator,” Obama said. “Hope wins out. If you think about how you want your kids to be raised, how you want them to think about life and their opportunities, do you want them afraid of their neighbors? Do you want them angry? Do you want them vengeful?”

She added that in thinking about which values to promote for children, “you have to think about which motto do you want them to live by.”

Obama coined the “we go high” phrase during her 2016 speech at the Democratic National Convention and it became a motto for Democrats on how to respond to Donald Trump’s campaign rhetoric. [Read More]

Trump on Holder ‘kick them’ comments: ‘He better be careful what he’s wishing for’ (The Hill)

President Trump on Thursday warned that former Attorney General Eric Holder “better be careful what he’s wishing for,” one day after video surfaced showing Holder saying that when Republicans “go low” Democrats should “kick them” in response.

“He better be careful what he’s wishing for. That’s a disgusting statement for him to make. For him to make a statement like that is a very dangerous statement,” Trump said during a wide-ranging interview on Fox & Friends. [Read More]

(Tennessee) Project Veritas Action Fund has released a second undercover video from campaigns during this 2018 election season. This report exposes Tennessee staffers from Phil Bredesen’s U.S. Senate campaign revealing his willingness to court moderate voters through deceit. This was especially evidenced by Bredesen’s recent statement suggesting he would, if he was already in the Senate, vote to confirm now Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

James O’Keefe, founder and president of Project Veritas Action, said this report should represent a red flag for all Tennessee voters: [Read More]
