4 indicted by grand jury in alleged Damascus High School broomstick hazing incident (FOX 5 DC)

The Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office announced Friday that four students charged in an alleged locker room sexual assault at Damascus High School have been indicted by a grand jury.

Jean Claude Abedi, Kristian Jamal Lee, Will Daniel Smith, Caleb Thorpe were indicted on eight counts each: one count of 1st degree rape, three counts of attempted first degree rape and four counts of conspiracy to commit rape. A fifth suspect is facing charges in juvenile court.

Abedi, Lee, Smith and Thorpe were released on $20,000 bond each earlier this week and ordered to stay away from the alleged victims and the high school. The prosecutor stated that all four victims are freshmen at the school. [Read More]

The Latest Russia Collusion ‘Bombshells’ Are Big, Fat Duds (The Federalist)

A recent blitz of “bombshell” headlines initially appear to show there might actually have been some collusion between the 2016 Trump presidential campaign and Russia. First, there was The Guardian claiming that Paul “Manaford” (oops, the source meant Manafort) met with Julian Assange of WikiLeaks in spring 2016, with the obvious implication that it was done to plan or coordinate WikiLeak’s Hillary Clinton email dump.

Mollie Hemingway ably pointed out holes in the story by mentioning, among other issues, that Manafort would have entered the Ecuadorian embassy to meet Assange in the heart of London, which is blanketed by the most robust network of video cameras in the world. LEAKED DOCUMENTS: Google Employees Considered Censoring Conservative Media After 2016 Election (The Daily Wire)

It’s no secret that Big Tech swings to the Left and that many in the industry were devastated that Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election. But at Google, some engineers debated whether the company should suppress conservative news websites — The Daily Caller and Breitbart were specifically mentioned — to keep President Donald Trump from winning in 2020, according to internal documents obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF).

“This was an election of false equivalencies, and Google, sadly, had a hand in it,” engineer Scott Byer wrote on Nov. 9, 2016, according to the documents. [Read More]
