Bob McDonnell Visits Mount Vernon Polling Station
(Alexandria, VA) -- Some voters got a surprise Tuesday morning when Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell showed up at the Mount Vernon polling station at Riverside Elementary School in Alexandria. McDonnell talked to a small crowd that gathered outside the school and told reporters he's eager to get to work. Most polls leading up to today's election had McDonnell leading his Democratic opponent Creigh Deeds. McDonnell will hold his official election night party in Richmond. Voters across the state have until 7 p.m. to cast their ballots.
