Virginia Nor'easter Damage Expected To Top 21-Million Dollars

(Norfolk, VA) -- Damage estimates are being tallied after a nor'easter swept along the Mid-Atlantic this week, flooding vulnerable coastal areas of Virginia. According to the "Virginian-Pilot" preliminary estimates put the damages so far, at more than 21-point-eight-million in Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Portsmouth, alone. Officials say those figures will probably increase as damage assessments continue into next week. On Saturday, Virginia Governor Tim Kaine met with homeowners in the area. He said it's sad to see that in some cases, people lost everything they own.
