The Poetry of Andy Parks
From the Associated Press:
Following the world's most awaited oration - President Obama's inaugural speech - poet Elizabeth Alexander echoed the new leader's tribute to daily labor, his call for responsibility and his reminder of the sacrifices that made his election possible.
The poem, titled "Praise Song for the Day: A Poem for Barack Obama's Presidential Inauguration," consists of 14, unrhymed three-line stanzas, and a one-line coda: "praise song for walking forward in that light."

II enjoy your wacked-out humor and miss hearing you so much every morning. I'm in Ocean City all the time now but I stay tuned in to you via computer. I remember when you began. I started listening to Harden & Weaver in the early 60s, and stayed with the station until deciding to be in OC full time, in 2000. Love you Andy and Grandy!!! |
