WASHINGTON - Victoria Toensing, attorney for Benghazi whistleblower Gregory Hicks, revealed to WMAL Saturday that her client is a registered Democrat who has voted for both Hillary Clinton and President Obama. In addition, she previously disclosed this in an interview with NBC News that was to air before Hick's testimony, but that portion was spiked.
"He voted for Hillary in the primary and Obama twice,” Toensing told WMAL and Newsmax host Steve Malzberg. “NBC spiked the story where I told it before the hearings.”

Mr. Hicks was the deputy chief of mission in the US Embassy in Libya at the time of the Sept. 11 attack, and became the top U.S. diplomat in that country when Ambasdsador Christopher Stevens was killed along with three other Americans. On Wednesday, he gave a detailed account of that attack in testimony to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
Toensing heavily criticized the press for focusing coverage on her and not Hicks.
“It’s just amazing what the press is still trying to do to cover this up,” she declared. “So they try to make this partisan because of the lawyer. Well I’m not the messenger, he’s the messenger! The modus operandi is to find anything they can do to just attack.”
