Responsibilities:
Promotions interns will be organized, detail-oriented, motivated self-starters looking to gain hands-on experience in the radio industry. Daily responsibilities include, and may not be limited to:

• Handling listener relations by contacting prize winners
• Maintaining a prize winner database
• Selecting winners from the web
• Organizing and filing prize winner information
• Returning voicemails
• Writing copy and performing web updates
• Assisting the street team at various station events and appearances in the D.C. Metro Area
• Retrieving air checks and assisting with recaps
• Afternoon Van Hits
• Listener Birthday Cards
• Upload pictures on Facebook
• Preparing for Events / Bin Duty

Qualifications/Eligibility:
Internships are available to college students only.  Advisor written verification that the applicant will receive class credit is required.  Additionally, interns must be available for a minimum of 16 hours per week dependent upon the number of credits to be earned.  Department managers will screen interns for these and other attributes: self-motivation, writing skills, energy, organizational ability and typing skills.  Past experience and dedication to broadcasting as a career are assets, and often will enhance a student’s chances of selection.
