(NEW YORK) -- Still scrambling to make Valentine's Day plans? Here's an option: check out one of the three movies opening in theaters on Thursday.

-- A Good Day to Die Hard: In the fifth film in the action series, Bruce Willis reprises his role of tough New York cop John McClane, who teams up with his estranged son to protect a Russian government whistleblower. Rated R.
-- Safe Haven: Based on the novel from Nicholas Sparks, Julianne Hough stars as a woman with deep secrets who moves to a small North Carolina town and bonds with a widowed father, played by Josh Duhamel. Cobie Smulders also stars. Rated PG-13.
-- Beautiful Creatures: A 17-year-old Southern boy is drawn to a girl who's a "Caster" -- a person with supernatural powers -- and stirs controversy in his town. Alden Ehrenreich, Alice Englert, Emma Thompson, Viola Davis, Emmy Rossum and Jeremy Irons star. Rated PG-13.
