Nationals’ Bryce Harper to Start in 2015 All-Star Game

WASHINGTON (WMAL) – The Nationals’ Bryce Harper will start in the 2015 MLB All-Star Game next week after receiving more votes than any National League player to appear on the ballot.

With 13,964,950 fan votes, Harper also received the third-most votes of any MLB player this season.

This year will be the right-fielder’s third All-Star Game and second All-Star Game start. He is the first Nationals player to play in three All-Star Games.

Currently, Harper has a .347 batting average and is tied for second in home runs with 25.

The 86th MLB All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday, July 14 at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.
