British Airways Passenger Restrained at Boston Airport

BOSTON — (CNN) A passenger was restrained during a British Airways flight to Boston’s Logan airport, the Massachusetts State Police said on Twitter on Tuesday.

State police and the Federal Aviation Administration said the passenger was intoxicated and tried to get out an exit door.

“Investigation determines passenger was intoxicated, tried to open EXIT door, not cockpit door. No known nexus to terrorism at this time,” the Massachusetts State Police tweeted.

A British Airways spokeswoman said the crew “requested that police meet the flight in Boston due to an unruly customer on board.”

A review of the air traffic control transmission indicates pilots did not declare an emergency.
