WASHINGTON — (WMAL) Yet another D.C. cop is going viral on the Internet for showcasing some on-point dance moves.

Seventh District Officer Ashley Keels engaged in a dance-off with city youth at a holiday event Monday held by former Washington Redskins player Clinton Portis.

The video shows Keels dancing with at least two young boys to DLOW’s “Bet You Can’t Do It Like Me.”

“It’s kind of like the whip and nae nae, but they added more moves to it,” said Keels.

A crowd of smiling adults and singing children surrounded Keels and her dance competitors, cheering them on as they went.

Keels said she loves kids and started dancing to engage them. She said she believes it’s important for kids to remember that police are people, just like them.

“That 5-year-old that you dance with today is that 15-year-old that will give you respect tomorrow.”

And Keels is no poor sport, either. When asked if she won the dance off, she humbly replied, “No, I will not lie!”
