WASHINGTON — (CNN) Arkansas State University reported a man with a weapon on campus on Thursday.

“The individual with a weapon has been surrounded by police. No shots have been fired, no reported injuries,” the school posted on Twitter.

A spokesman said that the man drove onto campus and crashed his vehicle into a barrier. A green pickup truck parked on grass is believed to be related to the school lockdown.

Everyone at the school was told to lock doors and shelter in place.

The university is located in Jonesboro, roughly 70 miles northwest of Memphis, Tennessee.
