WASHINGTON — (WMAL) Ted Cruz is capitalizing on Donald Trump’s decision to avoid Fox News’ Channel Republican debate tomorrow night.
For $25, you can pick up your own “Make Trump Debate Again” hat on Ted Cruz’s campaign website.
It’s designed like Trump’s “Make America Great Again” hat, that’s served as a rallying cry for voters in search of a non-establishment candidate.
Cruz’s hat is a jab at Trump’s decision to avoid the presidential debates.
Trump has taken heat from all sides for boycotting the final Republican debate before the Iowa caucuses on February 1st.
The GOP candidate refused to attend the Fox News-hosted debate, as long as journalist Megyn Kelly served as moderator.
Trump made headlines during his last encounter with Kelly at an August 2015 debate after she questioned his use of derogatory terms toward women.
