A tractor-trailer has overturned over in the median of I-81 in Frederick County, VA. while transporting 33 cows. Six cows were killed, while six others have escaped.
Police have cordoned off the northbound lanes of I-81 as they continue to herd the remaining cattle.
The driver of the tractor-trailer been charged with reckless driving. He was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Over 55 crashes were reported statewide in Virginia, although they were mostly cosmetic damages to vehicles.
A head-on collision between a snow plow and an SUV lead to one death in Fauquier County along Crest Hill Road. Virginia State Police are still investigating.
An additional 23 disabled vehicles were reported to the Virginia State Police.
