16-year-old Metro Shooting Suspect To Be Tried As Adult

WASHINGTON (WMAL)– The 16-year-old suspect in yesterday’s shooting on a Green Line metro train will be tried as an adult, a judge ruled Wednesday.

Hassan Graves and alleged accomplice Andre Broadie, 19, have been charged with assault with intent to kill.

Graves is accused of shooting a 24-year-old Metro passenger while on a Green Line train pulling into Anacostia station. Police say the victim was conscious and breathing after the attack, and he was released from the hospital later that evening.
