WASHINGTON — (WMAL) Caesar Goodson has been acquitted of all charges stemming from the death of Freddie Gray.
The decision was announced amid national interest in the death that spurred violent protests throughout Baltimore. Goodson chose a bench trial, meaning he was tried only before a judge, not a jury.
The charges stem from the April 2015 death of Freddie Gray in Baltimore. Gray was arrested and placed unrestrained in the police van that Officer Goodson was driving.
