WASHINGTON — (WMAL) After two stitches and a round of vaccine booster shots, the bobcat that went missing from its enclosure at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo Monday was found by medics to be in good health.
Ollie received a full medical examination today after spending a night in the hospital and was treated for a cut on her left front paw.
She will remain in the hospital for a few more days for observation.
Ollie went missing Monday when zoo keepers couldn’t find her in her enclosure. She was discovered Wednesday when a zoo visitor spotted her near the flamingo exhibit and reported the sighting to zoo officials. A trap was set that caught Ollie and she was sent to the hospital.
