Police Search for Inmate who Left Maryland Hospital

COLUMBIA, MD — (AP) Police are searching for a minimum-security inmate who walked away from a hospital where he was being treated.

Howard County Police said in a statement that 52-year-old Timothy Powers left Howard County General Hospital in Columbia on Thursday night.

Police say Powers, who was receiving treatment at the hospital, was last seen wearing a burgundy sweater and jeans.

Officers searched around the hospital and past known addresses for Powers, but have not found him.

Police don’t believe he had immediate access to a vehicle.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Anyone with information should contact police by calling 911.
