WASHINGTON (WMAL) — Metro Transit Police have arrested a Maryland man after they say he used his cell phone up a woman’s skirt.
Brandon Williams, 19, of Forestville, MD, is charged with misdemeanor sexual abuse.
Last week, a woman reported that she felt someone’s hand up her skirt as she exited the Columbia Heights Metro station.
The woman was on the escalator at the time.
Police were able to take a look at surveillance photos and track down Williams. They also obtained a search warrant and seized electronic devices from his home.
Investigators have also reached out to multiple other victims but police say there are still possibly dozens of other women who were unaware that “upskirt” photos were taken of them.
Anyone who thinks they may have been a victim, is asked to contact MTPD at 302-955-5000.
Police say additional charges are likely.
