WASHINGTON (WMAL) – New child pornography charges were filed Friday against a former substitute teacher and basketball coach in Prince George’s County.

Christopher Speights was indicted on numerous counts of possession of child pornography and possession with intent to distribute child pornography. Friday’s charges come after Speights was indicted on other child pornography charges last May.

Many of the children believed to have been victimized by Speights have been identified.

“We have a number of children, several dozen children, who unfortunately we have been unable to identify who we believe may have been involved with Mr. Speights,” Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Angela Alsobrooks said at a press conference Friday.

Alsobrooks told parents to talk to their kids if they had Speights as a substitute teacher at the Bradbury Heights Elementary School or a coach with the South County Steelers basketball team.

Acting on a tip last December, Maryland State Police found more than 100 child pornography photos and videos on a Dropbox account Speights had.
