Alexandria, Va. — A man was arrested yesterday for allegedly exposing himself and assaulting a passenger on a Metrobus. The Metro Transit Police Department provided a press release with further detail on the story:

Dwayne Henry Walker, 48, of Alexandria, was arrested by Metro Transit Police yesterday following an incident in which he allegedly exposed himself and assaulted a passenger aboard a Metrobus yesterday afternoon.

Shortly after 4 p.m., officers responded to the 7A Metrobus near the intersection of North Beauregard Street and Fillmore Avenue in Alexandria.

The victim, an adult female, reported that she and the suspect, who is not known to her, boarded the bus at the Pentagon Transit Center. The suspect sat down in the seat next to the victim.

As the bus approached the 3000-block of North Beauregard Street in Alexandria, the victim said she felt the suspect leaning against her. The victim changed her position to avoid contact. The suspect again leaned his body against the victim in an unwanted manner. At that point, the victim looked over and discovered that the suspect was masturbating.

The victim confronted the suspect, stood up and walked to the front of the bus to notify the operator. Police were dispatched.

A short time later, patrol officers from the Alexandria Police Department located a subject matching the description of the offender.

Walker was subsequently positively identified by the victim and arrested on preliminary charges of indecent exposure, assault and battery, and possession of marijuana. He has four prior arrests for indecent exposure since 2015, three of which were by Metro Transit Police.
