WASHINGTON (WMAL) — Orkin today released it’s “Top 50 Bed Bug Cities List” with Washington D.C. coming in second only to Baltimore.

Neither Baltimore nor DC changed their rankings for this year’s list.

Orkin calculates the rankings “based on treatment data from the metro areas where Orkin performed the most bed bug treatments from December 1, 2016 – November 30, 2017,” according to a statement.

Some suggestions Orkin makes to detect bed bugs include keeping an eye out for bed bugs regularly, decrease the amount of clutter in your home so that you can see them and to check all furniture bought second-hand before bringing it into your house.

The other cities in the top 5 on the list are Chicago, Los Angeles and Columbus, Ohio.
