FREDERICK, Md. (WMAL) — Twelve people are in two different hospitals this morning after a pickup truck lost control on US-15 at Biggs Ford Road in Frederick County, crossed the median into oncoming traffic and was hit by a van.

Ten people were riding in the van and two in the pickup.

Sgt. DaVaughn Parker, spokesman for the Maryland State Police, did not have the conditions of any of the people involved in the crash.

“We just know that everyone from the crash this morning has been transported [to the hospital],” he said.

Maryland State Police are on the scene investigating the cause of the crash.
