FAIRFAX, VA — (WMAL) Students can now put a face on Justice – one that howls to the moon.

J.E.B. Stuart High School Principal Penny Gros has unveiled the school’s new logo – one that incorporates the letter J – for the school’s new name, “Justice”, and the image of a wolf – the new mascot chosen by students back in January.

The design was created on a pro bono basis by the Virginia-based graphic design company Startte, which created multiple images to be used on clothing, in print and online.

The transformation from “J.E.B. Stuart” to “Justice” officially began in October of 2017, when the School Board chose the new name after years of complaints about the school’s original namesake, a confederate Civil War General

The new name and logo are set to officially take effect on July 1st.
