FORT WASHINGTON, MD — Three people were injured when their SUV somehow lost control on Indian Head Highway early Thursday and smashed into a guardrail, throwing two children from the vehicle in the process.

The crash closed northbound Route 210 at Fort Washington Road for several hours as police investigated the crash.
Both children and the driver were rushed to a a hospital with what police later described as non-life threatening injuries.
No word yet on what caused the crash.
