Blacks’ approval of Trump reaches a high of 21% and NAACP charges ‘racism’ (Washington Examiner)
President Trump continues to show improvement among African-Americans, but the NAACP Tuesday called him a racist.
In fact, in a new poll released by the group today, Trump’s approval rating among blacks has reached 21 percent, more than double what it was in an April Reuters poll.
But in its analysis, the NAACP slammed Trump and even went as far as claiming that Trump is setting race relations back, a charge that echoes recent media criticism of the president for slamming hoops star LeBron James. [Read More]

Democratic Maryland gubernatorial candidate Ben Jealous snapped at a reporter who asked him repeatedly Wednesday if he identified as a socialist, saying, “Are you f—ing kidding me?”
Republican Gov. Larry Hogan called Jealous a “far-left socialist” in an interview with the New York Times last weekend. Washington Post reporter Erin Cox noted to the strongly progressive Jealous at a press conference that Hogan had tagged him with the “socialist” label and asked for his response.
“What is your response to, first, the term socialist, whether you embrace and identify [as] it to any degree, and secondly, the charge about whether the state can afford you?” she asked. [Read More]

WH pushes back after Rand Paul suggests Trump asked him to deliver letter to Putin (Fox News)
The White House pushed back against Sen. Rand Paul Wednesday after the Kentucky Republican implied on Twitter that President Trump had asked him to deliver a letter of introduction to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Paul, who has been visiting Russia with a delegation for several days, said, “I was honored to deliver a letter from President Trump to President Vladimir Putin’s administration.” [Read More]

Sebastian Gorka says there’s at least one actor who might be a (somewhat) good fit to play him: Russell Crowe.
“A lot of people tell me I remind them of Russell Crowe,” Gorka, a former Trump White House aide, told ITK on Wednesday at the premiere of Dinesh D’Souza’s “Death of a Nation.”
