Three Serious Local Motorcycle Crashes In Less Than A Day Leave Two Dead

ROCKVILLE, MD — (WMAL) A man and a woman riding on a motorcycle were struck by a vehicle on eastbound Viers Mill Road in Rockville late Monday night, closing that stretch of road near Aspen Hill Road overnight and into the early rush hour Tuesday. Both victims were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene as police investigate the crash.

That was the third serious crash involving a motorcycle in less than 12 hours.

On Monday evening, 26-year-old Priscilla Alves of Silver Spring was killed when her cycle was involved in a crash with a Lincoln Navigator on East Gude Drive in Rockville. The driver of the Navigator was not injured.

Earlier Monday afternoon, a man was killed and a boy was injured when the motorcycle they were riding were involved in a crash on Old Landover Road. The boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle in that collision also remained at the scene.

Police are investigating all of the crashes.
