Winter Storm Warning Issued for DC Area

WASHINGTON– The National Weather Service in Sterling, Va has upgraded this weekend’s winter storm.  A Winter Storm WARNING is now in effect for the DC metro area until Sunday evening.

National Weather Service forecaster Jeremy Geiger says most of the DC metro area will now see 8-12 inches of snow.

Geiger says snow will start out light and pick up in intensity throughout the evening and overnight before tapering off during the day on Sunday.
