Maryland Crews Find Bodies Of 2 Who Disappeared On Jet Ski

EDGEWATER, Md.  – Maryland authorities say they’ve recovered the bodies of two people who went missing on a late night jet ski ride in the South River.

The Capital reports witnesses told police the man and woman left a nearby home after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. The witnesses said they heard a crash about 15 minutes later and called 911 when the two didn’t return.

Anne Arundel County Fire Department’s Lt. Erik Kornmeyer told WUSA that searchers found a damaged jet ski partially submerged in the water. Dive teams later found the bodies of a man and a woman.

Their identities haven’t been released.

Four other people died in separate water-related incidents in Maryland over the weekend.
