WASHINGTON (WMAL) – There was an unusual murder in Prince George’s County Sunday. A 73-year-old Bladensburg woman is charged with killing her 82-year-old neighbor with a brick.
“It’s not often that we get a call of this caliber dealing with individuals of this age range, so this is a little surprising. It’s a little odd for us. It’s very tragic,” said Prince George’s County Police Cpl. Nicholas Clayton.
Clayton said the suspect, Chun Oh, called police to an apartment building on Emerson Street Sunday around 7:15 a.m. for a welfare check. When they got there, Clayton said they found Hwa Pak in a garden with upper body trauma. They believe Oh hit Pak with a brick numerous times after an argument and then called 911 to report the murder. Clayton did not know what the older women were arguing about.
She’s charged with first and second degree murder and is being held on a no-bond status.
