Judge delays Flynn sentencing after he seeks to withdraw guilty plea (Washington Examiner)

President Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn’s sentencing was postponed after he filed to withdraw his guilty plea.

Flynn was originally scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 28 in Washington, D.C., but Judge Emmet Sullivan pushed back the sentencing to Feb. 27.

On Tuesday, Flynn’s legal team moved to change his guilty plea, citing “the government’s bad faith, vindictiveness, and breach of the plea agreement.” [Read More]

The Senate voted 89-10 Thursday to pass the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), designed to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement.

Why it matters: The deal now heads to President Trump’s desk for his signature, allowing the president to accomplish one of his biggest policy goals ahead of his 2020 re-election battle — hours before the official start of his impeachment trial [Read More]
