WASHINGTON (WMAL) – In an offseason already full of massive changes, reports indicate that the Washington Redskins are now in search of a new radio play-by-play announcer.

According to ESPN’s John Keim, longtime Redskins radio play-by-play announcer Larry Michael has announced his retirement from his position with the team.

“After 16 great years my time with the organization is over. As of today I’ll be retiring from my position with the team. As a lifelong Washingtonian I was blessed to work with a lot of great people,” Michael said in a statement to Keim. “I want to thank everyone who contributed over the years. I’m especially grateful to Dan Snyder for giving me the opportunity. On to the next chapter.”

The team has yet to comment on the announcement.
